Nava Public Benefit Corp. seeks an Engineering Manager/Technical Leader to guide career growth, contribute technically, and lead cross-functional teams in designing and delivering cloud-native solutions.

You will balance technical leadership with hands-on coding and work with product teams to mitigate risks and meet milestones. The role emphasizes building scalable architectures, production systems, and client-focused delivery while aligning with Nava’s public benefit mission.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in an agile, multidisciplinary environment
• 1+ years as a People Manager
• Experience designing production-grade cloud-native microservices and RESTful APIs in Java/Spring Boot
• Relational databases experience, preferably PostgreSQL, with JDBC and ORM
• DevOps experience, Jenkins CI/CD preferred
• Experience using AWS cloud native services
• Strong problem solving and strategic thinking
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Experience collaborating with stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Write code and perform code reviews
• Write/review technical specifications
• Work with cross-functional product teams to identify and mitigate technical risks
• Guide engineering on planning, estimation, prioritization, trade-offs, and debt
• Review architecture and designs from other projects
• Design technical roadmaps
• Enforce technical architecture
• Maintain production systems
• Handle on-call duties and debug issues
• Contribute to growing Nava’s client portfolio
• Participate in business development bids
• Engage with client stakeholders on growth initiatives
• Collaborate with government stakeholders on technical initiatives
• Strategize with leadership on growth of projects
• Attend conferences and network with potential clients
• Review strategy plans and outline technical requirements
