Nava Public Benefit Corp. is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a skilled engineering team, and contribute as a technical leader to drive cloud-native solutions for government clients.

You will mentor engineers, set deliverables, review architectures, and collaborate with product partners to balance technical debt with milestones. This remote-first role offers strong benefits and growth opportunities for impact at scale.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years in an agile, multidisciplinary team environment.
• Experience designing and implementing production-grade, cloud-native microservices with Java/Spring Boot.
• Experience with relational databases, preferably Postgres, using JDBC and ORM mappers like Hibernate.
• Experience with DevOps, preferably Jenkins CI/CD.
• Experience utilizing AWS cloud native services and data engineering.

Responsibilities

• Writing code and performing code reviews within a cross-functional product team.
• Writing and reviewing technical specifications and architectures.
• Guiding the engineering team on planning, estimation, prioritization, trade-offs, and technical debt balance.
• Reviewing architecture and designs from other teams.
• Strategizing with leadership on project growth and client opportunities.
• Attending conferences and networking with potential clients.
