Affimr is a remote-first tech company focused on data infrastructure for payments and finance. We seek a senior backend leader to own quarterly goals, drive delivery, and foster a culture of quality and ownership across a distributed engineering team.

You will collaborate with product, design, and analytics to build scalable data platforms, optimize data pipelines, and ensure high availability across OLTP/OLAP workloads. This role emphasizes growth, mentorship, and hands-on contribution.

Qualifications

• 4+ years designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale.
• Proven experience with highly available distributed systems.
• Strong knowledge of AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
• Ability to define technical plans for significant features with simple, extensible design.

Responsabilités

• Own quarterly goals for your team and lead through ambiguity to deliver.
• Collaborate with product management, design and analytics in the lifecycle of product development.
• Proactively identify and resolve project, process, technology, or business issues.
• Monitor metrics, support on-call efforts, and keep critical artifacts available.
