Job summary

Colliers is seeking a Senior Cost Estimator to join our Global Occupier Services team in the United States. The role supports enterprise project management for large industrial and office clients, providing cost estimates and budgeting guidance across project lifecycles.

You will lead cost-management processes, collaborate with PMs and real estate teams, and apply BIM and CostX tools to optimize decisions. This position offers a remote work arrangement across multiple US locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in Cost Estimating and Management (pre-contract and post-contract).
• Special knowledge in cost benchmarks for industrial buildings (manufacturing, testing, R&D facilities, warehouses, offices).
• Ability to critically review and challenge cost plans for quality and accuracy before management approval.
• Profound understanding of contract types (Design-Bid-Build, Design & Build, pre-construction partnering, Open Book/cost plus fees, BTS-Lease).
• Must have international experience working on industrial construction projects.
• Good Command of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with BIM and cost databases.
• Structured, organized, self-starter work style.
• Special skills in RIB iTwo or CostX or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain cost management processes.
• Guide and support PMs and real estate team as Cost Estimator.
• Identify significant cost risks and mitigate with project teams.
• Provide cost estimates from preliminary to detailed level.
• Evaluate effectiveness of cost control measures and review forecasts.
• Leverage cost and time effective construction methods to meet deadlines and budgets.
• Support PM in Value Engineering, price, and claim negotiations with the GC.
• Collaborate closely with PM for overall project success.
