Job summary

Colliers International is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Estimator to support global client projects from our Enterprise Project Management team. You will lead cost estimation, budgeting and risk assessments across industrial and office developments, coordinating with PMs and building teams to maintain targets.

You will apply BIM methods, cost databases, and advanced Excel tools while managing pre- and post-contract activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in Cost Estimating and Management (pre-contract and post-contract) required.
• Special knowledge in cost benchmarks for industrial buildings and related factors.
• Ability to review cost plans for quality and accuracy before approval.
• Understanding of various contract types (pre-construction partnering, Design-Bid-Build to Design & Build, Open Book, BTS-Lease).
• Must have international experience working on industrial construction projects.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with BIM and cost databases.
• Structured, organized work style; self-starter attitude.
• Knowledge of RIB iTwo or CostX or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain cost management processes.
• Guide project teams on budgets based on requirements, procurement strategy, contract type, codes and market conditions.
• Identify significant cost risks and mitigation measures with project teams.
• Provide cost estimates from preliminary to detailed stages.
• Evaluate cost control measures and review forecasts to safeguard budget and cash-flow.
• Leverage construction methods knowledge to meet deadlines and budget.
• Assist PM in value engineering, price and claim negotiations with GC.
• Collaborate closely with PM for project success and client targets.
