Tokio Marine HCC is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Underwriter to develop and manage a profitable middle-market E&S construction book. The ideal candidate will leverage broker relationships, market to opportunities, and grow a regional territory with minimal supervision.

You will evaluate applications, determine pricing, and maintain documentation while adhering to company guidelines. The role emphasizes a production mindset and strategic book growth across a remote work setup.

Qualifications

• 5 years of relevant middle-market E&S construction underwriting experience.
• Experience marketing to brokers and developing business relationships.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage a territory.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new and renewal policy applications, classify risk, assign rating and endorsements, and set pricing.
• Respond to broker inquiries within designated timeframes and provide underwriting guidance.
• Document all files and communications following guidelines.
• Adhere to underwriting authority and company policies.
• Approve/deny within authority or escalate as needed.
• Cultivate internal and external relationships to facilitate underwriting and business development.
• Develop understanding of factors affecting policy rating and risk.
