Job summary

Tokio Marine HCC International is seeking a Senior Construction Underwriter-Middle Market Focus. This remote role targets candidates with 5+ years in E&S construction underwriting and a track record handling larger, more complex middle-market contractor accounts.

You will evaluate applications, rate and price risks, and maintain thorough documentation while aligning with underwriting authority and corporate policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of E&S construction underwriting experience.
• Experience underwriting middle-market construction accounts.
• Ability to work independently and build a territory.
• Must have E&S construction underwriting experience.
• Should understand and manage larger, more complex accounts.
• 5 years of relevant middle-market contractors E&S experience.
• Studies toward attaining RPLU/CPCU/AU/CIC or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new and renewal policy applications, classify risk, rate, endorse, and price.
• Respond to broker inquiries within designated timeframe and provide underwriting support.
• Create and maintain bind files, worksheets, and required documentation.
• Adhere to underwriting authority directives and company policies.
• Serve as a resource to staff on procedures and guidelines.
• Develop understanding of factors affecting policy rating and risk.
