Job summary

Tokio Marine HCC International seeks a Senior E&S Construction Underwriter to develop and manage a profitable middle-market construction book. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in E&S construction underwriting and experience with larger, complex contractor accounts.

The role requires independent work, adherence to underwriting guidelines, and ability to grow a regional portfolio. Travel up to 25% may be required; the pay range reflects geographic adjustments and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of E&S construction underwriting experience.
• Experience underwriting middle-market construction accounts.
• Ability to work independently and manage a territory with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new and renewal policy applications and related documents to classify and assess risks.
• Determine acceptability, pricing, endorsements and limits.
• Contact and respond to brokers within designated timeframe with underwriting information.
• Maintain all documentation for new and renewal files and worksheets.
• Adhere to underwriting authority directives and guidelines.
• Support colleagues with underwriting procedures and guidelines.
