Job summary

Cast AI, a fast-growing cloud-native automation company, seeks a licensed attorney to own end-to-end commercial contracting across sales, renewals, channels, and vendor agreements. You will oversee APAC legal matters from day one and help build the contracting infrastructure for a multi-product platform.

The role requires a JD and active bar membership, with proven experience in tech transactions, SaaS agreements, and data privacy/IP expertise.

Qualifications

• A Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing in a relevant state.
• Proven experience in tech transactions, in both law firm and in-house settings.
• Track record negotiating SaaS or commercial agreements, NDAs, customer agreements, SLAs, EULAs, subscriptions, vendor and reseller agreements.
• Comfort mitigating risk under deal-closing time pressure and closing deals for a growing company.
• Strong knowledge of contract law, data privacy law (GDPR, CCPA), and IP law, including software licensing, copyright, and trademark issues.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills, with ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate Cast AI's sales, renewals, and reseller agreements end-to-end.
• Draft, review, and negotiate NDAs, vendor, and reseller agreements, plus contractor arrangements.
• Lead efforts to revamp contracting processes to support a multi-product business.
• Draft and negotiate customer agreements including SLAs, EULAs, and subscriptions.
• Advise on data privacy and IP matters and ensure compliance with relevant laws.
• Assist with governance, compliance, and policy development to reduce risk.
• Coordinate with external counsel on disputes and other commercial matters.
• Collaborate with deal desk, sales, customer success, billing, and compliance throughout the deal cycle.
• Oversee APAC legal presence from day one and supervise the contracts function.
