Job summary

Cast AI is seeking a senior in‑house style contracts attorney to own the commercial contracting process end to end. You will negotiate new-logo and renewal agreements, draft for NDAs, vendor and reseller contracts, and ensure compliance with data privacy laws.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor and active bar membership in good standing in a relevant state.
• Proven experience in tech transactions, in both a law firm and in‑house setting.
• Track record negotiating SaaS or commercial agreements, NDAs, customer agreements, SLAs, EULAs, subscription contracts, vendor agreements, and reseller agreements.
• Comfort mitigating risk under real deal‑closing time pressure rather than holding out for a perfect contract.
• Strong knowledge of contract law, data privacy law (GDPR, CCPA, and similar), and intellectual property law.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Location: Based in the United States, Eastern or Central time zone preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own Cast AI’s commercial contracting relationship end to end, negotiating new-logo agreements with sales and renewals with customer success.
• Draft, review, and negotiate NDAs, vendor agreements, and reseller/partnership agreements, plus independent contractor agreements where they overlap with vendor and employment concerns.
• Lead efforts to revamp and standardize contracting processes to support the shift from a single product to a multi-product business.
• Draft, review, and negotiate customer agreements including SLAs, EULAs, and subscription contracts.
• Advise on GDPR and CCPA compliance, and IP matters including software licensing, copyright, and trademark issues.
• Assist with corporate governance and compliance, and develop policies to reduce risk and improve efficiency.
• Coordinate with external counsel on disputes and litigation related to commercial agreements and other matters.
• Collaborate across deal desk, sales, customer success, billing, support, and compliance.
