Job summary

Humana Inc. is seeking a Senior Coding Educator to identify opportunities to improve provider documentation and to tailor education plans for assigned providers. You will report to the Manager, Coding Education.

You will lead the risk adjustment strategy, analyze data for quality of care and coding improvements, and collaborate across teams to drive provider education initiatives. Occasional travel to Humana offices may be required.

Qualifications

• AAPC CPC certification required.
• 3+ years of risk adjustment provider education experience.
• 3+ years of medical record review knowledge.
• Medicare Risk Adjustment knowledge.
• Familiar with ICD-9/ICD-10 guidelines.
• Experience analyzing data to guide process improvements.
• Excel proficiency (formulas, pivot tables).
• Proficient with PowerPoint and presenting to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute risk adjustment strategy for each provider group.
• Analyze data and reporting; deliver education sessions to providers on quality of care, documentation, and coding improvements.
• Collaborate with relationship owners and QCS (Quality and Cost Strategy).
• Monitor and develop strategy with Network Performance team and leaders.
• Tailor provider group webinars and discussions based on MRA topics.
• Create compliant PowerPoint presentations tailored to group strategy.
