Job summary

Humana, Inc. is seeking a Senior Coding Educator to identify opportunities to improve provider documentation and to tailor an education plan for each assigned provider. You will report to the Manager, Coding Education.

You will analyze data and deliver educational sessions on quality of care, documentation and coding improvements, collaborating with relationship owners and the QCS. Travel to Humana offices may be required occasionally.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of risk adjustment provider education.
• 3+ years of medical record review knowledge.
• Medicare Risk Adjustment knowledge.
• Familiar with coding guidelines (ICD-9/ICD-10).
• Experience analyzing data to guide process improvements.
• Excel (formulas, pivot tables).
• Proficient at PowerPoint with experience presenting at multiple levels of leadership.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for creating and executing the risk adjustment strategy for each provider groups.
• Analyze data and reporting and provides educational sessions with providers aimed at quality of care, documentation and coding improvements.
• Collaboration with relationship owners and QCS (Quality and Cost Strategy).
• Monitor and develops strategy in collaboration with Network Performance team and the leader.
• Tailor provider group webinars and discussions based on various MRA topics.
• Creates compliant PowerPoint Presentations tailored to group strategy.
