Job summary

Humana, Inc. seeks a Senior Coding Educator to identify opportunities to improve provider documentation and craft education plans for assigned providers. This role reports to the Manager, Coding Education and involves collaboration with the Network Performance team.

The position requires CPC certification, several years of risk adjustment education and data analysis skills, with strong PowerPoint delivery and leadership-facing presentations. Travel to Humana offices may be required occasionally.

Qualifications

• AAPC CPC certification required.
• 3+ years of risk adjustment provider education experience.
• 3+ years of medical record review knowledge.
• Medicare Risk Adjustment knowledge.
• Familiar with ICD-9/ICD-10 coding guidelines.
• Experience analyzing data to guide process improvements.
• Proficiency in Excel (formulas, pivot tables).
• Proficient in PowerPoint with experience presenting to leadership levels.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities to improve provider documentation and create tailored education plans for assigned providers.
• Analyze data and deliver educational sessions with providers focused on quality of care, documentation, and coding improvements.
• Collaborate with relationship owners and Quality and Cost Strategy (QCS).
• Monitor and develop strategy with Network Performance team and the leader.
• Tailor provider group webinars and discussions on various MRA topics.
• Create compliant PowerPoint presentations tailored to group strategy.
