Job summary

Fuze Health Inc. is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to join the Technology Platform team supporting the Hospice business unit. You will lead the SQL Server modernization on EC2 and AWS RDS, migrate SSIS/SSRS workloads, and optimize costs while ensuring HIPAA/HITRUST compliance.

You will mentor the Hospice SQL DBA team, implement cloud monitoring with Datadog and CloudWatch, and collaborate with DevOps on Terraform-based infrastructure. This role is remote-based within eligible U.S.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of database administration experience.
• Expertise with Microsoft SQL Server 2016+ performance tuning and HA/DR.
• Experience upgrading SQL Server and end-of-support migrations.
• Hands-on SSIS and SSRS development and administration.
• Experience with AWS RDS (SQL Server) setup and Multi-AZ.
• Experience with AWS native ETL tools or plan to modernize SSIS ETL.
• Knowledge of backup/restore strategies and PITR.
• Monitoring tools (Datadog, CloudWatch) and DMVs.
• HIPAA/HITRUST/SOC2 regulated environment experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead SQL Server modernization on EC2 and RDS.
• Migrate SSIS/SSRS workloads to AWS-native ETL and reporting or upgrade on EC2.
• Drive database cost optimization and licensing minimization.
• Upskill Hospice DBA team on AWS database operations.
• Establish cloud-native monitoring and DR baselines with Datadog/CloudWatch.
• Collaborate with DevOps on Terraform-based infrastructure.
