Job summary

Ensono is seeking a Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer to support our mainframe clients with CICS expertise. You will work on z/OS, CICS TS, and related OEM products, performing installations, configurations, and ongoing maintenance across multiple time zones.

The role requires a 10+ year background in zSeries mainframes, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Remote-friendly with a shift pattern and on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years experience on the zSeries mainframe platform with hands-on CICS TS and OEM product support.
• Deep knowledge of CICS TS, OEM products, and IBM SMP/E.
• Strong analytical skills and CICS TS configuration expertise.
• Experience monitoring CICS TS performance and multitasking under pressure.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill CSOs for z/OS CICS TS customers in a timely manner.
• Provide primary support for reported CICS TS issues.
• Support 24x7x365 across time zones.
• Install OEM software products per best practices.
• Prepare customer partitions for annual OS upgrades.
• Assist migrations for new customers and address blockers.
