Job summary

Ensono is seeking a Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer to lead the installation, testing and deployment of new z/OS operating systems and related system software. The role emphasizes system maintenance, debugging, and expert problem solving across large mainframe environments.

You will serve as a SME and mentor, handle on-call rotations, coordinate with vendors, and drive improvements in automation, security, and performance for z/OS, JES2, JCL, and USS workloads.

Qualifications

• 10+ years mainframe experience in large enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of z/OS installation and maintenance including SMP/E.
• Advanced knowledge of TSO/ISPF, SDSF, and JCL.

Responsibilities

• Manage installation, testing, and implementation of new z/OS.
• Tune and maintain systems software; mentor junior staff.
• Lead incident and problem resolution across mainframe environments.
• Coordinate with vendors and cross-functional teams.
