Job summary

Ensono seeks a Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer to provide premium CICS-related support for US clients. You’ll handle CSOs, troubleshoot CICS TS and OEM products, and ensure smooth migrations and disaster recovery execution across time zones.

The role requires extensive zSeries experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work independently or in a team, with on-call duties and a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years experience on the zSeries mainframe including hands-on CICS TS and OEM product support.
• Thorough working knowledge of CICS TS and installation and tailoring of CICS TS and related OEM products.
• Thorough working knowledge of IBM SMP/E.
• Strong analytical skills and understanding of CICS TS concepts, configuration and tailoring.
• Experience monitoring performance of CICS TS regions.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentations).

Responsibilities

• Fulfill CSOs for mainframe z/OS customers in relation to CICS TS.
• Provide primary support for reported CICS TS problems.
• Provide 24x7x365 support across multiple time zones.
• Install OEM software products efficiently per best practices.
• Prepare customer partitions for regular operating system upgrades.
• Support customer migrations pertaining to CICS TS products.
• Assist migration of newly acquired customers to meet deadlines.
• Execute disaster recovery tasks with DR services.
• Follow ITSM change control procedures.
