Job summary

Ensono is seeking a Mainframe Systems Programmer specializing in CICS to support and optimize client environments in the United States. You will manage customer service orders, troubleshoot CICS TS issues, and participate in migrations, upgrades, and DR planning.

Role requires hands-on mainframe experience on z/OS, strong knowledge of SMP/E, and the ability to work across time zones with clients and internal teams. Flexible remote work is offered with on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years experience on the zSeries mainframe platform including hands on experience with CICS TS and OEM product support.
• Thorough working knowledge of CICS TS concepts, configuration and tailoring.
• Strong knowledge of IBM’s SMP/E and related tooling.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill customer service orders for mainframe z/OS customers related to CICS TS and OEM products.
• Provide primary support for reported CICS TS related problems.
• Provide 24x7x365 support across multiple time zones.
• Follow procedures for installing OEM products per Ensono standards.
• Assist in preparing customer partitions for OS upgrades and migrations.
• Support customer migrations and transitions related to CICS TS and OEM products.
• Collaborate with Disaster Recovery Services for DR plan executions.
• Follow change control procedures and implement vendor corrections and upgrades.
