Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a BESS Engineer III to lead design, development, implementation, and optimization of battery energy storage systems. The role provides technical direction and engineering oversight to deliver high-performance, reliable projects remotely.

Responsibilities include SME guidance, coordinating with engineers and vendors, and ensuring safety and quality across lifecycle stages from procurement to commissioning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years of electrical engineering experience with focus on BESS, renewables, or power systems.
• Expertise in design, integration, and optimization of battery energy storage systems (BESS).

Responsibilities

• Serve as a SME for BESS engineering scopes, guiding project teams.
• Lead design and engineering of BESS, ensuring compliance with contracts, utilities, and AHJ requirements.
• Review feasibility studies, site assessments, and system sizing analyses.
• Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and contractors to design, procure, install, and commission BESS systems.
• Provide engineering support during construction, testing, validation, and energization.
