Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a BESS Engineer III to lead design, development, and optimization of battery energy storage systems across projects nationwide. This fully remote role offers strategic direction, technical oversight, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver safe, reliable BESS solutions.

You will manage engineers of record and partners, review feasibility studies, support procurement, and mentor junior staff while staying current with industry standards and regulatory

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
3+ years of electrical engineering experience with focus on BESS, renewables, or power systems.
Expertise in design, integration, and optimization of battery energy storage systems; including lithium-ion batteries, inverters, BMS, and grid interconnection equipment.

Responsibilities

Serve as a technical SME for BESS engineering scopes, guiding project teams.
Lead the design and engineering of battery energy storage systems, ensuring compliance with contracts and AHJ requirements.
Review feasibility studies and system sizing analyses to optimize BESS configurations.
