Job summary

FIRST INSURANCE GROUP LLC is seeking a Sr. Compliance Consultant, Employee Benefits to guide clients and internal teams through ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, and related requirements.

You’ll translate complex rules into practical guidance and stay ahead of regulatory changes. In collaboration with legal counsel and industry partners, you’ll perform compliance reviews, develop templates and resources, lead trainings, and help clients reduce risk while supporting a culture of trust and accountability

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, legal studies, or a related discipline preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive employee benefits experience, including health and welfare compliance.
• Knowledge of ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, Internal Revenue Code provisions affecting employee benefits, Section 125 Cafeteria Plans, FMLA and state leave laws.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted compliance resource for clients and internal teams on ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, Section 125, Transparency in Coverage, No Surprises Act, MHPAEA, and other employee benefits regulations.
• Review benefit program structures to identify potential compliance concerns and recommend next steps.
• Lead compliance training and educational sessions for clients and internal teams.
• Conduct compliance reviews of employer-sponsored health and welfare plans to identify potential gaps and risks.
• Collaborate with Benefits Account Managers, Sales Executives, and Leadership to incorporate compliance into client service strategies.
