Job summary

Milliman's Employee Benefits Consulting Practice seeks a highly skilled Compliance Consultant to design, maintain, and provide compliance support for qualified and nonqualified employee benefit plans. You will draft plan documents, disclosures, advise on deferred compensation, and guide corrections through IRS and DOL programs.

The role oversees the EB Compliance team and Research group, relies on deep ERISA/IRC/Treasury knowledge, and requires strong client-facing communication and independent

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, law, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience with employee benefit plans.
• Deep expertise in ERISA, the Internal Revenue Code, and Treasury regulations governing qualified plans.
• Experience in law firms, consulting firms, or corporate legal departments.

Responsibilities

• Draft and review plan documents and participant disclosures.
• Advise on nonqualified deferred compensation and health and welfare compliance.
• Support correction of plan failures through IRS and DOL programs.
• Conduct legal and regulatory research on complex benefits questions.
• Oversee the Employee Benefits Compliance team and Research group.
