Milliman, a leading employee benefits consulting firm, is seeking a Compliance Consultant to advise clients on ERISA, IRC, and Treasury regulations governing qualified plans. You will draft plan documents, supervise the EB Compliance team and Research group, and coordinate with clients to resolve compliance issues using IRS and DOL correction programs.

This role requires strong communication, detail orientation, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a hybrid, in-person weekly

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in business, law, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in employee benefit plans.
• Well-versed in ERISA, the Internal Revenue Code, and Treasury regulations governing qualified plans.

Responsibilities

• Plan Document Management: Drafting and reviewing pre-approved and individually designed qualified defined benefit plan documents.
• Disclosure Drafting: Creating clear, compliant Summary Plan Descriptions (SPDs) and employee disclosures.
• Nonqualified Deferred Compensation Plan Advisory: Designing and managing deferred compensation plans for corporate and tax-exempt entities, ensuring strict compliance with IRC Sections 409A and 457.
• Health & Welfare Compliance: Advising clients on federal rules governing health arrangements, including wrap plans and health SPDs.
• Compliance Correction: Navigating IRS (EPCRS) and DOL (VFCP/DFVCP) correction programs to resolve client compliance failures.
• Research and Analysis: Responding to questions raised by our consultants and/or clients regarding compliance issues and code/regulations interpretation.
