Job summary

USI Insurance Services is seeking an experienced Employee Benefits Compliance Attorney to monitor and communicate evolving health and welfare laws, including ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, and related codes. The role involves creating client materials and delivering presentations.

You will collaborate with a national team, perform research and drafting, and help maintain compliance libraries and resources for internal and external clients.

Qualifications

• 4–8 years of experience in compliance issues of employer-sponsored welfare benefits plans.
• J.D. required; strong academic credentials and law license.
• Ability to research, interpret statutes and communicate complex information clearly.
• Proficiency with MS Office and Adobe products; public speaking experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and communicate laws affecting health and welfare plans (ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA).
• Develop and present materials to internal teams and external clients.
• Research, edit, and publish articles, alerts, and materials for clients.
• Create education tools and deliver presentations to staff and clients.
• Maintain compliance resources and advise on strategy for plan compliance.
