Job summary

GFT is seeking a Business Development & Proposal Manager to join our West Team, with remote work and California client experience preferred across NorCal, SoCal, Washington or Arizona. The role drives cradle-to-grave BD support, capture planning, client relationship management and proposal development, coordinating with MARCOM and senior leadership.

The position requires a 4-year degree and extensive California experience, with 10+ years in BD lifecycle and supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Normally a 4-year degree required in English, marketing, journalism, communications, or applicable field is required.
• Must have the requisite experience in California.
• Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience supporting, facilitating, and participating in capture planning support.
• Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated increasing responsibility in the business development lifecycle phases.
• At least 2 years of experience supervising staff (if applicable).
• Certification or training in business development, marketing, communications, or sales received through an industry professional organization is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead cradle-to-grave internal BD support from client management to proposal development.
• Manage proposals and ensure capture strategy is defined and executed.
• Lead multiple large, long-term pursuits concurrently and shape interview development.
• Maintain CRM documentation and coordinate with MARCOM for strategic plans.
