Keeper Security, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the KeeperApp backend team. You will design, develop, and maintain server-side services and APIs that power core functionality, with emphasis on scalable AWS-backed backend.

This 100% remote role offers the option for hybrid scheduling for candidates in El Dorado Hills, CA or Chicago, IL metro area, and requires 5+ years of backend Java experience, MySQL expertise, and strong knowledge of secure, scalable microservices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend software development experience.
• Strong experience with server-side Java and APIs.
• Experience with MySQL or similar relational databases.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• US-person eligibility required.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement backend services and APIs using Java.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient server-side code.
• Evolve business logic that supports KeeperApp functionality.
• Work with MySQL to design schemas, write queries, and optimize performance.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and product managers on feature design.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to backend engineering best practices.
• Troubleshoot backend issues related to performance and reliability.
• Apply secure coding practices to protect data and services.
• Contribute to Agile development workflows and iterative delivery.
