Job summary

Keeper Security is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Privileged Access Management team and lead backend development for Discovery within KeeperPAM. This is a 100% remote role, with a hybrid option for candidates in Chicago, IL or El Dorado Hills, CA Metro areas.

You will build the Python discovery engine and Java/Kotlin cloud services, enabling discovery of privileged accounts, keys, and machines across AD, cloud IAM, databases, and endpoints, while encrypting data at rest and in

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software development with backend focus.
• Strong Python experience; Python is the primary language for Keeper's Discovery engine.
• Experience with distributed systems, APIs and data-processing pipelines.
• Hands-on with Active Directory/LDAP.
• Knowledge of cloud IAM models (AWS/GCP/Azure) and Entra ID.
• Understanding of secure software development practices and encryption.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop the Python discovery engine and Java/Kotlin cloud services.
• Build systems that discover privileged accounts across AD, cloud IAM, databases and endpoints.
• Solve identity correlation and reconciliation across multiple systems.
• Develop test coverage, diagnostics, and logging to root-cause issues from customer logs.
• Design discovery workflows that are safe in customer production networks.
• Develop secure data-processing within Keeper’s zero-knowledge architecture.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, and PAM engineers on technical design and delivery.
• Use AI-assisted tools to support development and documentation.
