Jobot is hiring a fully remote Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to support a growing law firm. The role handles high-volume, full-cycle AP, including invoice processing, payments, and vendor reconciliations, with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and internal controls.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in AP within legal services, strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP) and familiarity with Aderant.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive Accounts Payable experience, ideally in a law firm or legal services environment.
• Strong full-cycle AP knowledge: coding, processing, reconciliations, discrepancy resolution.

Responsibilities

• Manage high-volume, full-cycle AP: 20–50+ invoices per day and payment requests.
• Review invoices for accuracy, proper coding, approvals, and procedures.
• Process vendor payments, check requests, and AP transactions.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies, payment issues, and vendor inquiries.
• Perform vendor account reconciliations and close support.
• Maintain auditable AP records and documentation.
• Assist with month-end close and accruals as needed.
• Collaborate with Accounting, Finance, and internal teams to resolve AP issues.
• Identify process improvements and controls to increase efficiency.
• Mentor junior AP staff as needed.
