Job summary

Jobot is seeking a fully remote Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to support a high-volume AP function within a professional services setting. You will own complex AP tasks, including invoice processing, payments, reconciliations, and maintaining an accurate audit trail in a growing law firm.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of AP experience, strong Excel and Aderant familiarity, and the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment while collaborating with Accounting leadership.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive Accounts Payable experience, including high-volume processing.
• Experience in a law firm or legal services environment preferred.
• Proficient with AP procedures, coding, payments, vendor reconciliations, and discrepancy resolution.
• Strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP) and familiarity with Aderant a plus.
• Ability to manage priorities independently in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Manage high-volume, full-cycle accounts payable, processing 20-50+ invoices daily.
• Review invoices for accuracy, proper coding, approvals, and procedures.
• Prepare and process vendor payments and check requests.
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and vendor inquiries.
• Perform vendor account reconciliations and support month-end close.
• Maintain accurate AP records and audit trail.
• Collaborate with Accounting, Finance, and internal teams to address AP issues.
• Identify process improvements and strengthen controls.
• Serve as an experienced resource to other AP team members and provide support on complex transactions.
