Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to support a high-volume AP function within a fast-paced professional services environment. This fully remote role handles 20-50+ invoices daily, processes payments, reconciles vendor accounts, and maintains accurate records to ensure a clean audit trail.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive Accounts Payable experience, preferably in a professional services environment.
• Strong understanding of full-cycle AP processes, invoice coding, payment processing, vendor reconciliations, and discrepancy resolution.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP; macros a plus.
• Experience with Aderant preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage high-volume, full-cycle accounts payable, including processing 20-50+ invoices and payment requests per day.
• Review invoices and supporting documentation for accuracy, proper coding, approvals, and compliance with established procedures.
• Prepare and process vendor payments, check requests, and other AP transactions.
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies, payment issues, duplicate invoices, and vendor inquiries.
• Perform vendor account reconciliations and assist with resolving outstanding balances.
• Maintain accurate AP records and supporting documentation to ensure a clean audit trail.
• Assist with month-end close activities, including AP reconciliations, accrual support, and outstanding invoice review.
• Partner with Accounting, Finance, and internal departments to address AP-related issues and maintain timely processing.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen controls, streamline processes, and improve AP efficiency.
• Serve as an experienced resource to other AP team members and provide support on more complex transactions as needed
