Jobot is seeking an experienced Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to support a high-volume AP function in a fully remote setting within a reputable legal services firm. The role focuses on complex AP activities, including invoice processing, payments, vendor reconciliations, and clean audit-ready records.

The ideal candidate brings strong AP fundamentals, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage priorities independently while collaborating with a seasoned accounting team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive Accounts Payable experience in a law firm or legal services.
• Strong understanding of full-cycle AP processes including invoice coding and payments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP.
• Experience with Aderant is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage high-volume, full-cycle accounts payable, processing 20-50+ invoices per day.
• Review invoices for accuracy, coding, approvals, and compliance.
• Prepare and process vendor payments and check requests.
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and vendor inquiries.
• Assist with month-end close and accruals related to AP.
• Partner with internal departments to address AP issues and improve efficiency.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen controls and streamline processes.
