Job summary

Lumen is seeking a Sales Development Representative I to drive growth by creating qualified sales opportunities and introducing prospective customers to Lumen. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years in sales, lead generation, customer engagement, or call center experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to handle objections.
• Able to manage a high-volume daily activity schedule and stay accountable to performance goals.
• Quick learner who adapts in a structured, goal-oriented remote environment.
• Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM and MS Office applications.
• Curiosity about technology and interest in networking, cloud, security, AI solutions.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting; no visa sponsorship needed.

Responsibilities

• Execute multi-channel prospecting campaigns via phone, email, and approved channels to generate qualified opportunities.
• Complete a standard requirement of 75 outbound calls per day while managing a high-volume workflow.
• Engage IT decision-makers at mid-market and enterprise organizations and conduct discovery with BANT and outcome-based approach.
• Lead customer conversations, address objections, and connect business challenges with Lumen solutions.
• Schedule qualified meetings and hand off to the sales account team.
• Collaborate with sales teams to support engagement and opportunity progression.
• Develop knowledge of Lumen’s networking, cloud, security, telecommunications, and AI solutions and communicate value propositions.
• Maintain accurate customer activity and next steps in Salesforce.
