Job summary

Pearson Evaluation Systems is seeking remote scorers to evaluate responses from Georgia teacher candidates. You will internalize scoring standards, participate in consensus scoring, and help uphold professional standards in education.

A bachelor’s degree and current teaching certification in the subject (or equivalent college/university experience) are required, along with US work eligibility. Work is remote with an hourly rate of $21.50.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher required.
• Current teaching certification in the subject area and 2+ years of recent public school experience in the subject area.
• Alternatively, college/university faculty experience that prepares candidates for the subject.
• Must not be a current Georgia educator and must be eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate responses to test questions from Georgia teacher candidates.
• Internalize scoring standards and participate in consensus scoring discussions.
• Recognize and discuss bias types and mitigate personal bias in scoring.
• Meet quality and productivity standards and pass a qualifying test before scoring.
