Job summary

Pearson is seeking remote scorers for Georgia teacher licensure scoring. Candidates evaluate responses, internalize scoring standards, and participate in consensus scoring to uphold professional standards. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field and teaching certification in the subject area.
  • Be practicing or have two or more years’ recent experience in the public school service role in the subject area.
  • Alternative: serve as or have recently served as a college/university/program faculty member who prepares candidates for the subject.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate responses to test questions by Georgia teacher candidates.
  • Internalize scoring standards and engage in consensus scoring discussions with other scorers.
  • Discuss bias types (e.g., implicit bias, cultural bias) and strategies to reduce personal bias in scoring.
  • Meet quality and productivity requirements for the scoring program, including passing a qualifying test.
  • Starting rate of $17.50 per hour and working remotely.
