Pearson is seeking an Associate, Scoring Service - Instructional Technology to score Georgia teacher licensure responses remotely from the United States. The role emphasizes applying scoring standards, engaging with scorers, and maintaining confidentiality while meeting quality targets.

A bachelor’s degree or higher and a valid teaching certification in the subject area are required, with recent public school experience or college faculty background.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Current teaching certification in the subject area and be practicing or have two (2) or more years’ recent experience in the service role in a public school in the subject area you are applying for.
• OR serve as, or have recently served as, a college/university/program faculty member who prepares candidates for the subject you are applying for
• Must not be a current Georgia educator/based in the State of Georgia.
• Both active and recently retired practitioners can be eligible to score.
• Basic computer skills (keyboard, mouse)
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time
• Ability to maintain a confidential work environment
• Eligible to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Evaluate responses to test questions by Georgia teacher candidates
• Internalize scoring standards, participate in discussions, and engage with other scorers in consensus scoring activities
• Recognize and discuss various types of bias and discuss strategies to reduce personal biases in scoring
• Meet quality and productivity requirements established for the scoring program, including passing a qualifying test before scoring
