Job summary

Pearson is seeking qualified scorers to evaluate responses from teacher candidates. This remote role requires a bachelor's degree or higher, a valid teaching certification in the subject area, and relevant classroom experience.

Candidates may also have college faculty experience preparing candidates for the subject. Starting pay is $17.50 per hour with remote work, five scoring days every eight weeks, and a training period.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher and teaching certification in the subject area.
• Public school teaching experience in the subject area (2+ years).
• Experience as or with college/university faculty preparing candidates is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate responses to test questions from Georgia teacher candidates.
• Internalize scoring standards and engage in consensus scoring.
• Recognize bias types and discuss strategies to reduce bias in scoring.
• Meet quality and productivity requirements and complete required training.
• Scoring occurs remotely and involves a fixed schedule every eight weeks.
