Job summary

Pearson is hiring scorers to evaluate responses for Georgia teacher licensure tests. This remote opportunity requires subject-area certification and recent public-school experience. You will work with other scorers to apply scoring standards, discuss bias, and meet quality targets.

Flexible remote role with a starting rate of $17.50 per hour. Qualified applicants may be active or recently retired educators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant subject area.
• Current teaching certification in the subject area you apply for.
• Two or more years’ recent service in a public school in the subject area.
• Basic computer skills, ability to sit for extended periods, and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate responses to test questions by Georgia teacher candidates.
• Internalize scoring standards and participate in consensus scoring with other scorers.
• Identify bias types and discuss strategies to reduce personal bias in scoring.
• Meet quality and productivity requirements and pass a qualifying test before scoring.
• Work remotely with a starting rate of $17.50 per hour.
