Job summary

Loyola Medicine, a member of Trinity Health, is seeking a Scheduling Specialist to manage pre-registration, scheduling, and insurance verification for outpatient services in a remote role.

You will handle EPIC registrations, verify demographics, identify financial responsibilities, and coordinate with care teams to optimize patient flow and payment collection.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in scheduling or patient access, strong customer service, and comfort with Epic and Cisco Finesse.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–5 years' experience in scheduling, financial clearance, or patient access.
• Experience with Cisco Finesse, Epic scheduling (BookIt) preferred.
• Excellent customer service in a high-volume healthcare call center.

Responsibilities

• Pre-registration, scheduling, and verifying insurance eligibility.
• Identify and collect patient financial responsibility and collect payments.
• Pre-register patients in EPIC and verify demographics.
• Coordinate with service delivery areas to maximize patient flow.
