Job summary

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a Scheduling and Pre-Registration Representative to support patient-first care from a remote role in Northeast Ohio. You will handle pre-registration for diagnostics and surgeries, provide estimates of out-of-pocket costs, and ensure accurate data collection.

The position offers weekday hours 8:30am–5:00pm with no weekends or holidays, opportunities to train others, and a chance to contribute to a trusted health system.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in customer-facing roles.
• Ability to learn medical terminology and orders.
• Proficiency with basic PC software and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Provide a comprehensive set of business, financial and appointment-related services during the pre-access process or before the patient presents for a service via the phone.
• Perform pre-registration for diagnostic testing and surgeries by contacting patients and obtaining demographic, insurance, medical and financial information.
• Utilize an estimator tool to provide patients with an estimate of out-of-pocket expenses prior to the date of service.
• Provide scheduling, registration and cash collection access in Epic.
• Communicate with patients via outbound and inbound calls.
• Maintain productivity and quality standards.
• Function as a Super User and assist training new caregivers.
• Cross-train to staff all areas of the department and rotate to different locations/hospitals as needed.
