Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an Engineering level professional to provide design, development and delivery of the SOLV SCADA solution and EPC projects. This role can be hybrid with regular in-office presence in San Diego, CA or Bend, OR or fully remote.

Specific location details and expectations will be discussed during the interview process. You will execute SCADA integration design, participate in cross-functional team discussions, and help maintain project standards across utility-scale solar PV

Qualifications

• 2 - 4 years of SCADA engineering experience (renewable energy including industrial or utility-scale PV solar, BESS, or Wind). Proficiency with Python.
• Intermediate working knowledge of Inductive Automation's Ignition SCADA platform.
• Intermediate working knowledge of relational databases and SCADA applications.
• Familiarity with PLC equipment including Schweitzer Engineering RTAC, Allen-Bradley Control/CompactLogix, GE/Emerson RX3i or similar environments.
• Familiar with installation and commissioning of SCADA networks using Fiber Optics, Serial RS.

Responsibilities

• Execute the design and development of SCADA integration components and systems for utility-scale renewable energy projects including Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems.
• Work within a team to define and implement product design standards and best practices that align with company goals.
• Review and implement project-specific requirements for assigned scope.
• Generate device points lists, HMI mockups & assets, commissioning test plans and checklists using company standards.
• Program and commission SCADA servers, data historians, and HMI systems.
• Review project closeout documentation to verify contractual deliverables.
