Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an Engineering level SCADA support role to design, develop and deliver SCADA/EPD projects for utility-scale renewables. This position offers hybrid work with in-office presence in San Diego, CA or Bend, OR, or fully remote arrangements discussed during interviews.

Responsibilities include designing SCADA integration components, programming SCADA servers, and collaborating with customers and field personnel to ensure successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of SCADA engineering experience in renewable energy projects.
• Proficiency with Python and Ignition SCADA platform.
• Familiarity with PLC environments and industrial protocols (Modbus, DNP3, OPC UA).
• Ability to work with contractors and field personnel; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop SCADA integration components for utility-scale renewables.
• Define and implement product design standards and best practices.
• Program and commission SCADA servers, data historians, and HMI systems.
• Coordinate with customers and field technicians for on-site support.
• Prepare commissioning/test plans and relevant documentation.
