SOLV Energy is seeking an SCADA Engineering professional to support design, development, and delivery of SOLV SCADA solutions for utility-scale solar, battery storage, and HV substations. Hybrid work options include in-office presence in San Diego, CA or Bend, OR, or full remote work; location specifics discussed in interviews.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of SCADA engineering experience in renewable energy (utility-scale PV, BESS, or wind) with proficiency in Python.
• Proficiency with Inductive Automation's Ignition SCADA platform.
• Familiarity with relational databases and SCADA applications.
• Experience with PLC environments such as Schweitzer RTAC, Allen-Bradley, GE/Emerson RX3i, or similar "named variable" PLC environments.
• Experience in installation and commissioning of SCADA networks using Fiber Optics and Serial RS.

Responsabilités

• Execute design and development of SCADA integration components and systems for utility-scale renewables (Solar PV and BESS).
• Collaborate to define and implement product design standards aligning with company goals.
• Review and implement project-specific requirements for the assigned scope.
• Generate device points lists, HMI mockups and assets, commissioning test plans and checklists.
• Program and commission SCADA servers, data historians, and HMI systems.
• Review closeout documentation to verify contractual deliverables.
• Provide intermediate technical support for diverse SCADA configurations.
• Participate in technical discussions with customers and partners.
• Maintain a centralized knowledge base.
• Apply diagnostic utilities to troubleshoot complex plant systems.
• Coordinate with customers and field technicians for on-site commissioning.
• Identify and learn software/hardware used by the organization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support platform development and data integration.
• Provide project status reports and support risk mitigation to meet goals.
• Promote a culture of NERC compliance and governance in programming and commissioning.
• Support SOLV Operations center for project integrations and handoffs.
