Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an experienced SCADA Engineer to support design, development and delivery of SOLV SCADA solutions and EPC projects for utility-scale solar, battery storage and HV substations.

The role offers hybrid work with regular in-office presence in San Diego, CA or Bend, OR or fully remote; location details will be discussed during interview. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure standards, testing, commissioning and documentation meet customer requirements.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years SCADA engineering experience in renewable energy.
• Proficiency with Python programming.
• Experience with Inductive Automation Ignition SCADA platform.
• Familiar with PLC environments from major vendors.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop SCADA integration components for utility-scale solar and battery projects.
• Define and implement product design standards and best practices.
• Review project requirements and ensure deliverables meet contractual scope.
• Generate device points lists, HMI mockups, test plans and checklists.
• Program and commission SCADA servers, historians and HMIs.
• Coordinate on-site commissioning and hunter-offsite installation support.
• Maintain a centralized knowledge base and support cross-functional teams.
