Job summary
SOLV Energy is seeking an Engineering Support professional to design, develop and deliver its SOLV SCADA solutions for utility-scale solar, battery storage and high-voltage substations. Hybrid option allows in-office work in San Diego, CA or Bend, OR, or fully remote arrangements, with location details discussed in interviewing.
You will execute SCADA integration, define design standards, review requirements, and coordinate with customers and field technicians to ensure successful project
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of SCADA engineering experience in renewable energy
- Python proficiency
- Ignition SCADA platform experience
- Experience with PLC platforms and industrial protocols
- Strong communication skills and team coordination
Responsibilities
- Design and develop SCADA integration components for utility-scale renewable projects
- Define and implement system design standards and best practices
- Review project requirements and ensure contractual deliverables
- Generate device points lists, HMIs, test plans and checklists
- Program and commission SCADA servers, data historians, and HMIs
- Review closeout documentation for accuracy and completeness
- Coordinate with customers and field technicians for on-site commissioning
- Maintain centralized knowledge base and support diagnostics
- Promote NERC compliance and governance in programming and commissioning
