Job summary

Samsara is seeking a Sales Engineer to join a diverse team driving IoT-based transformations across essential industries. You’ll engage with customers on logistics, safety, fleet maintenance, and regulatory compliance, tailoring solutions that connect operations through Samsara’s platform.

The role requires hands-on hardware installation knowledge, API scripting, and the ability to present robust cloud-based solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's of Science degree from a 4 year accredited university.
2+ years experience with customers in a pre-sales, customer success, or customer/product support capacity.
Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Experience with hardware and/or software product evaluations.
Basic understanding of electronics and electrical systems.
Experience with cloud software, cloud-connected hardware, and system integrations.

Responsibilities

Become an expert on Samsara products and how IoT/AI/vision apply to physical operations.
Explain to prospects how Samsara solves industry challenges today.
Deliver work products to move deals forward (discovery, demos, proof of concept).
Guide installers on deployments and best practices.
Write API scripts to solve real-world customer problems and share with teammates.
Act as a liaison between product and sales, incorporating customer feedback.
Champion Samsara values and global expansion in collaborations.
