Job summary

Samsara is seeking a Field Sales Engineer to help modernize essential industries with IoT solutions. You’ll engage with customers in a pre-sales, customer-success or support capacity, influence stakeholders, and evaluate hardware/software products while understanding electronics and cloud integrations.

The role involves deploying Samsara solutions, writing API-based proof-of-concept scripts, and collaborating with product and sales teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year accredited university required.
5+ years of experience with customers in pre-sales, customer success, or customer/product support.
Ability to influence stakeholders based on technical sales acumen.
Experience evaluating hardware and/or software products.
Basic understanding of electronics and electrical systems.
Experience with cloud software, cloud-connected hardware, and system integrations.

Responsibilities

Walk installers through deployment scenarios and best practices.
Write sample proof-of-concept scripts against our open API to solve real-world problems.
Build deployment plans and guide customers through deployments.
Act as liaison between product and sales teams and provide technical feedback.
Champion Samsara’s cultural principles and embody a customer-first mindset.
