Job summary

Ethena is seeking a Sales Engineer to partner with Account Executives and Customer Success Managers throughout the sales cycle, delivering compelling demos and tailored proposals that address customer pain points. You will maintain the demo environment to reflect latest AI features and real-world client setups.

You will craft custom walkthroughs and content builds, translating product specs into customer-ready language for live calls and assets.

Qualifications

• Some experience in a Sales Engineering, Sales, Implementation, or technical customer-facing role at a SaaS company.
• Ability to tell a clear story with a technical product, especially on calls with HR, IT, Security, and Legal stakeholders.
• Exposure to the discovery and technical demo stages of a sales cycle.
• An ownership mindset: you’ll grow into being a go-to resource on demos, pre-sales technical support, and product fluency.
• Credibility with sales reps and the comfort to work closely with leadership.
• Bias toward clarity, fast execution, and iteration over polish.
• Familiarity with, or the ability to quickly learn, AI-powered tools, APIs, and enterprise integrations (LMS, HRIS, SSO, etc.).
• A self-starter who takes ownership with a roll up your sleeves mentality, comfortable with ambiguity, and proactive problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Account Executives and Customer Success Managers during the sales cycle to understand customer needs, demo Ethena's platform, and help build proposals that address customer pain points.
• Help maintain and refine the Ethena demo environment so it reflects our latest AI features, use cases, and real-world client setups.
• Build custom walkthroughs, prototypes, and tailored demos for deals, such as custom content builds, course-editing demonstrations, and integrations.
• Translate product, content, and AI feature specs into customer-ready language, both in live calls and in sales assets.
• Build a deep understanding of our solutions and field technical and implementation questions on topics such as data security, HRIS integrations, and customization, escalating the most complex to your manager.
• Draft responses for RFPs, pilots, and security reviews.
• Collect real-time feedback from prospects and relay it back to Product and Engineering.
• Create and maintain sales-ready assets such as talk tracks, decks, video tutorials and Looms, and objection handling.
• Enable Account Executives and Customer Success Managers on new product updates, features and functionality.
