Job summary

Bowman Consulting Group, Ltd. is seeking a Safety Manager to lead and implement safety programs across offices and field teams, with on‑site and remote support. You will deliver training, perform evaluations, and promote a proactive safety culture aligned with regulations.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of safety experience, OSHA/MSHA/DOT knowledge, and travel willingness, plus certifications like OSHA 30, CHST, CSP, or CUSP preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety management, occupational health, industrial hygiene, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of safety experience supporting construction, engineering, energy, mining, or related field operations.
• Working knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, and DOT regulations.
• Experience conducting field safety audits, training, and incident investigations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to travel to field offices, job sites, and regional branches; on-call for urgent safety events as needed.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA 30, CHST, CSP, CUSP) preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and implement safety programs to ensure a safe workplace and regulatory compliance.
• Deliver safety training and toolbox talks across offices and field teams.
• Perform on-site safety evaluations and coach personnel.
• Support emergency action planning and local training initiatives.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses; determine root causes.
• Maintain OSHA-required logs and safety records.
• Collaborate with leadership to update procedures and safety content.
