Job summary

Spi Co is seeking a Safety Manager to lead corporate safety and risk-reduction programs from a remote-capable role. The incumbent will conduct safety meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure OSHA compliance and program effectiveness across branches in the Charlotte, NC area and beyond.

Strong project leadership, superb communication, and regulatory knowledge are essential. The role requires 6–10 years of safety program management experience, CSO certification, and proficiency in MS Office and

Qualifications

• 6 to 10 years of experience with Occupational Health and Safety Programs Management.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in business or health related fields preferred.
• Hold a CSO (Construction Safety Officer Certification) or industry equivalent.
• Health and Safety Administration certification or equivalent.
• Construction Safety Administration certification or equivalent.
• Knowledge of CORE, OHS and OSHA regulations and industry safety standards.
• Teamwork, multi-tasking, and leadership skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify, prioritize, and process safety risk reduction opportunities.
• Maintain knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry safety standards.
• Assist branches with development and maintenance of compliance programs.
• Liaise with governing and regulatory entities.
• Maintain program standards for safe operation meeting industry standards.
• Develop and implement management systems to ensure regulatory monitoring and reporting.
• Collaborate with operations to file and track inspections and documentation.
• Track incident and near-miss investigations and reporting.
• Recommend actions to mitigate recurrence of incidents.
• Assist branches with internal and external safety audits.
• Support recognition programs (eg COR Safety designation).
• Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual safety statistics reports.
