Job summary

Humana, Inc. is seeking a Lead Release Train Engineer to serve as the servant leader and coach for a large SAFe‑based Agile Release Train.

You will facilitate PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums, System Demos, and Inspect & Adapt events, guiding multiple teams toward alignment with strategic objectives and delivery of business value. You will mentor Scrum Masters and Product Owners, partner with Product Management, and drive continuous improvement across value streams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• 7+ years of related experience in Agile leadership roles (Scrum Master/Agile Coach/Release Train Engineer).
• Extensive SAFe experience leading Agile Release Trains.
• Current SAFe RTE/SPC or comparable SAFe certification.
• Advanced knowledge of Scrum, Kanban and Lean-Agile principles.
• Experience influencing senior leaders and cross‑functional teams.
• Strong facilitation, communication and coaching skills.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary facilitator and servant leader for a complex SAFe Release Train (ART).
• Lead and facilitate ART events including PI Planning and Scrum of Scrums.
• Coach and mentor Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and teams on Lean-Agile practices.
• Collaborate with Product Management to align strategy with execution.
• Identify and resolve program-level dependencies, risks, impediments.
• Drive continuous improvement via Inspect and Adapt workshops.
• Promote collaboration across architects, engineering, and business stakeholders.
• Use Agile metrics and dashboards to monitor ART performance.
